Friends of ours are in the process of moving house. One of them told me he would be having a big clear out and letting go of things like old love letters.
I gasped in horror and beseeched that he do no such thing. Old bills surely, but not love letters.
‘They’re not even very good. I’ll hire a skip and then someone can discover them if they want to.’
